10 People You Won't Believe Are Still Employed By WWE
7. Zeb Colter
Regardless of how many times he and his charge were on the losing end of a match, segment or contest, Zeb Colter remained one of the most consistently great parts of WWE programming. An old school wrestling mind who understands how to manipulate a crowd and get them to react the way he wants, Colter was brilliant as both a heel and a babyface. Then, in the midst of a renewed rivalry between Jack Swagger and Rusev, he fell prey to the Bulgarian Brute, suffering a storyline injury that would allow him to take time off to get surgery on preexisting ailments. But Colter has yet to return to television, leaving some to question whether he is actually still employed by the company. The answer is yes, at least according to the official roster on WWE's website. The fact of the matter is that Colter, at his age, will not recover from surgery a speedily as he would have when he was in his prime as an athlete. So what once may have been a three months recovery is likely to stretch longer. The fact that WWE has not used Jack Swagger in any meaningful way (more on him in a moment) means there was no rush to bring him back sooner than necessary. Colter's mind for the industry makes him valuable behind the scenes, perhaps more so than in front of the camera. Even after he is fully healed, do not be surprised if ol' Zeb does not appear back on the your televisions as quickly as you would like.
