10 Perfect So-Bad-They’re-Good Wrestling Moments

2. How Much Does Dis Guy Weigh?

Although the WWF maintained the pretence that wrestling was a work, everybody knew by 1994 (decades prior, in truth) that the jig was up. Wrestling was predetermined. The WWF helpfully clued their audience in by announcing this publicly in 1989.

Just one remaining man - Art Donovan, former NFL star - was evidently not aware. And the WWF drafted him into provide guest commentary duties for King Of The Ring 1994.

Art struggled to comprehend that the predetermined nature of the game allowed promotors to fairly pit monsters against mortals. Art, bless him, seemed concerned that the smaller men stood no chance against the gelatinous behemoths so beloved of Vince McMahon at the time. His near-panicked, incredulous, "How much does dis guy weigh?!" has entered the pantheon of unintended brilliance. He also had no idea what purpose managers served. Him and Vince McMahon both. "What's the girl over there screaming at?" he wondered, verbally gesturing at Luna Vachon.

Hilariously, he asked if Razor Ramon had died in the middle of the ring as he sold Bam Bam Bigelow's torture rack. "Gorilla - is he dead? Hey, I thought the poor guy was dead!" He also unintentionally destroyed the occupational gimmick when encountered by IRS. "Randy, is this one of the wrestlers?" he asked. "He looks like a businessman!"

He also had zero clue who Lex Luger was. "Who's the fella with the American flag?" Luger's push was dead in the water by this point, so poor Art was right to question this one, at least.
