10 Perfect WWE Main Roster Rivalries For Tye Dillinger
9. James Ellsworth
At their core, wrestling storylines often serve as an extended exercise in catharsis. Heels are built up for the feel-good moment of a babyface handing them their comeuppance. James Ellsworth might not be the most intimidating of villains, but it's hard to imagine a moment of greater gratification that his chinless head getting smashed into Tye Dillinger's knee.
It veers between generating the right and wrong kinds of heat, but Ellsworth's deluded toady attitude makes him a reliably antagonistic character, which isn't always easy to come by in the modern era of wrestling. His current embroilment and interference in the SmackDown Women's Championship picture means that retribution is unlikely to be served against him any time soon, so who better to step in and hand him the beating he deserves than The Perfect Ten?
Maintaining sympathy in a match against a clearly weaker opponent is a difficult task to achieve, but if there's anybody who could accomplish it, it's Tye Dillinger. The match obviously wouldn't be a mat classic, but WWE love their squashes, and if Dillinger has to be getting quick, relatively meaningless victories, it might as well be against an opponent who the audience really wants to see get hurt.
