10 Perfect WWE Main Roster Rivalries For Tye Dillinger
8. Roman Reigns
Given that all this is fantasy booking, it seems permissible to leave aside the issues of brands and alignments. Tye Dillinger is, for now, one of the most beloved wrestlers by the WWE audience. Roman Reigns is probably the most reviled. In a different and more logical time, this would really position them on a collision course with one another.
If Reigns already garners barely believable levels of heat, putting him in the ring against Dillinger can only make the match even more electric. This doesn't even rely on the mythical Roman Reigns heel turn; 2016 showed that Reigns can still be 'The Guy' and have engrossing contests against audience favourites like AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose.
Tye Dillinger is fantastic in the underdog role, and being the opponent of the company's golden child is the biggest underdog anyone can possibly be in the WWE. Whatever criticisms can be levelled against his presentation, Roman Reigns' in-ring work is solid and the two should be more than capable of delivering a great match. There's no way in hell that it would ever be booked for Dillinger to come out on top, of course, but being in the same ring as The Big Dog, even on a free TV match, can only serve to elevate Dillinger's stock within the company. Believe that.
