10 Perfect WWE Main Roster Rivalries For Tye Dillinger
5. Bray Wyatt
There's often very little rhyme or reason to a Bray Wyatt rivalry (or a Bray Wyatt promo. Or a Bray Wyatt match), so it's easy to throw him against any current roster member you can think of and call it a day. However, Tye Dillinger's excellent rivalry with SAnitY is easily a blueprint to repeat for similar success on the main roster, and a story of that strength could help the revival of credibility that Wyatt needs after the losing the WWE Championship.
Whether it's rebuilding the Wyatt family to give Bray the numbers advantage (or maybe finally utilising those dozens of cloaked followers he seems to be able to beckon) or Tye nobly resisting his tempting offer of an alliance, a re-imagining of one of the last year's best NXT feuds on a larger scale with more screentime should really only boost the profiles of both men, and if it can culminate with as good a match as Tye and Eric Young's recent steel cage match, then everybody should really be satisfied.
At the end of the day, NXT is still a developmental brand, and there's nothing wrong with re-implementing the storylines that work, as well as the wrestlers. Zayn-Owens at Battleground was every bit as good as Zayn-Owens at Takeover: Rival. Chris Jericho's 'sexy pinata' routine was superior to Paul Ellering being needlessly suspended in a shark cage. If done right, then Dillinger vs Wyatt could capture all that was good about Tye's feud with SAnitY, and possibly even take it up another level.
