3. RKO
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtEBTu33aV8 One of the best examples of speedy finishing moves, Randy Orton's RKO has since found infamy online due to a series of Vines dedicated to how the move comes out of nowhere. A variant of DDP's Diamond Cutter, Orton simply adapted the move so that he jumped into it, instead of simply pulling his opponent in like Page used to do. It's a cool-looking finisher, probably one of the best in WWE history, but it's still not one that comes across as wholly realistic. Even in the first example on the video featured here, Sheamus noticeably leaps into Orton's grasp, something which definitely wouldn't happen in real life. Outside of the confines of pro wrestling, Sheamus would simply step back when he saw Randy jump, and let him splat on the steel steps. Now, obviously it's wrestling, and Sheamus was only trying to take the move as safely as he possibly could, but it doesn't help the argument for the industry looking realistic. Some people take the move beautifully, like Chris Benoit, who simply holds onto Orton, as if surprised by how quickly the move is happening, but most jump into the RKO, almost like Orton is harnessing some sort power, like Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. "Get over here".
