10 Physically Impossible Wrestling Moves

4. Rock Bottom

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlSL2sYzEko The Rock Bottom is a pretty classic finishing move in WWE history. Also adapted by Booker T and re-dubbed the 'Book End', the hold has a nice swiftness to it, and fans understand that it's a pretty final move, one capable of ending any match, if The Rock doesn't then decide to do the infamous People's Elbow. Despite such lofty status with fans, the Rock Bottom is also not one which bows down to those pesky laws of physical limitations. Looking at the video, there's a huge difference between how somebody like John Cena takes the move, and how Vince McMahon lands just seconds later. Simply put, if the recipient doesn't have a good vertical leap, the move isn't going to look nearly as impressive. Therein lies the problem, the Rock Bottom would not happen if the other person didn't jump in unison with the guy performing the move. That's not a damning verdict, it's still a cool move, but it's not tangible in reality.
