10 Pointless Acts Of Wrestling Bravery That Were Totally Forgotten

1. Lori Fullington: Hardcore Legend

Despite fleeting experiences of in-ring physicality during her brief ECW tenures alongside The Sandman in the mid-1990s, Lori Fullington showed unbelievable guts when a return to her husband's side resulted in her incurring the wrath of the deranged Rhino.

A babyface valet alongside Sandman during his feud with The Network, Fullington began accompanying The Sandman into battle, and had already suffered a devastating Gore from 'The Manbeast' at ECW's pay-per-view showpiece 'Living Dangerously' in March 2000.

With a crowd barely ten minutes removed from a frightening blood-soaked war between Tajiri and Steve Corino, management decided to allow Fullington and Rhino to raise the bar even higher in the following match at May's 'Hardcore Heaven' show, leading to the frightening sight of Rhino piledriving Mrs. Sandman through a table on the (completely unprotected) arena floor.

A move virtually never attempted due to the enormous potential risk, it proved even more shocking due to Rhino's relative inexperience at the time and the physical disparity between him and his diminutive victim.

The fact that neither performer emerged from the spot with any injuries was a minor miracle, and following one more segment between the two (at Heatwave 2000, in which Rhino flushed Lori's head in a toilet), Fullington escaped the programme largely unhurt.
