10 Popular Wrestling Debates That Need To Die

9. “Everything Was Better In The Attitude Era”

This is a quasi-extension of the previous point.

Admittedly, this appears to have lessened, but there are still throngs of folks out there who'd tell you with a straight face that "everything" during WWE's vaunted 'Attitude Era' was the absolute t*ts. According to them, the federation could do no wrong when 'Attitude' was in full swing.

Anyone who has dipped back through the archives via the WWE Network/Peacock could tell you that this is way wide of the mark. Most fans today would probably rather watch a functional-if-unspectacular bout pitting The Miz vs. AJ Styles than Goldust dress up as a baby ("Baby New Year") or the awful "Brawl For All" concept.

Being brutally honest, the general standard of in-ring action during 'Attitude' paled in comparison to what's on offer today. Sure, it might've been a lurid, exciting time, but it wasn't all great. In fact, some of it was bloody dreadful and hasn't aged well.
