10 Popular WWE Babyfaces Who Went To Another Level As Heels

5. Roman Reigns

Here he is.

Roman Reigns was touched upon in the intro, but his story is worth exploring in full. Also, though loads of fans who hated it will never agree, he did have merit as a heroic babyface who repeatedly toppled stacked odds to stand proudly - the problem with his character was that WWE plundered the well so mercilessly that it sickened most.

Roman has been flawless since debuting his 'Tribal Chief' heel character back at SummerSlam 2020. His change was as unexpected (many predicted he'd return from a self-imposed sabbatical and fend off Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend') as it was incredible. This is like a totally different performer, one who looks totally comfortable in his own skin.

The reigning Universal Champ is cutting the promos of his life, is in unbelievable physical condition and is arguably the top heel in all of pro wrestling today. He's come a long, long way from bogus lines like, "suffering succotash" and talking about "tater tots".
