2. The Undertaker - 20,763 Edits, (#18 On Wikipedia's Top 100)
Way out in front of Kane is his brother Kane, who ranks within the top 20 edited articles of any subject on wikipedia. That's outstanding popularity and credit to both WWE and Taker for obviously engaging interest so much. Given that Kane and Taker are at the top of individual superstar edits, we can conclude that gimmicks are still massively important in garnering fan interest. All of Taker's edits can be attributed to his long history and the various storylines which have gone along with him. The page covers his original Deadman gimmick, the American Bada** and the modern day streak era. There's also a section on Mark Calaway's private life. Given how secretive he is, this also probably accounts for all the intrigue and edits going on over at his page. One thing Taker and Kane's popularity over at wikipedia perhaps tells us is WWE's problems with creating new stars. Out of all the men detailed in this rundown, only John Cena didn't debut in the 1990's (though he has been a prominently featured main eventer since 2005). However, with the WWE brand itself ranking so highly, it's a sign that the company nowadays can rely on itself, they sell on the brand name alone.
