Yes! Yes! Yes!
Daniel Bryan, the greatest pro wrestler and sports entertainer on the planet, has been medically cleared to return to action - "perhaps as soon as next week," per Dave Meltzer's report in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The injury that sidelined Bryan following WrestleMania 35 remains unspecified, but the very fact that WWE did not disclose it compelled virtually all of the wrestling Internet to diagnose a concussion. We know who deserves a push, we know how to tell the long-term stories WWE is no longer capable of telling, and we are all specialists in the complex field of neurology.
This all may read as the biased ranting of a man who literally impaired his credit score to fly across an ocean to watch Bryan's big moment in New Orleans. It's not as of Daniel Bryan is magically going to make everything better.
Or is it?
Bryan motivated Brock Lesnar to perform as the best version of himself at Survivor Series. The best versions of both of his split personalities, in fact: the brick sh*thouse mercenary colossus and the authentic selling machine. Bryan gave AJ Styles, at TLC, the best, most fiercely technical match of his underwhelming post-2016 mega run. His arrogant, vicious character work propelled two pure babyfaces into the midcard and the stratosphere of a company built on heat.
Daniel Bryan is back, and he is going to magically make everything better.
