10 Positive Signs Going Into WrestleMania 33
7. One-on-One Matches
“Multi-person matches are a bad idea for ‘Mania – WWE should be building concise and coherent singles feuds,” is a common sentiment shared between wrestling fans. Although people pop like crazy for a fantastic multi-man ladder match, bigger feuds are generally best left as singles or potentially Triple Threat contests.
Although WrestleMania 33 seems to be following the WrestleMania 2000 route with regard to booking the women, every other feud has been left pretty much as it should be: a one vs. one match to establish dominance. Aries and Neville aren’t having to juggle Gallagher, Nese, and Perkins at the same time, nor do Ambrose and Corbin need to worry about trying to incorporate Ziggler and Crews into their rivalry at the last minute. Adding more bodies unnecessarily is a nice way to include people on the card, but it can also dilute hot feuds in a way that makes them significantly less interesting.
