The pairing of WWE veteran and future Hall Of Famer Chris Jericho with the current WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens has been the most entertaining part of RAW since the brand split. Prior to Finn Balor's injury at SummerSlam 2016, original plans called for Owens to battle Balor at Clash of Champions which would lead to a triple threat match between Balor, Owens, and Chris Jericho for October's Hell In A Cell event

Obviously, the injury to Finn Balor caused some plans to be changed and Owens became the new Universal Champion. It makes sense to believe that WWE still has plans for a Jericho vs. Owens program, but it's unlikely to come as quickly as October's Hell in a Cell. Perhaps WWE is saving the break-up for the following month's pay-per-view when they could present a Canadian vs. Canadian, WWE Universal Championship main event at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario.

The crowd would likely be incredibly energised for this main event. It's not often that WWE brings a pay-per-view to Canada and it's even rare for the main event to feature one Canadian, much less two, vying for RAW's top prize.

Given the perfect storm of factors leading up to this year's Survivor Series, no main event makes more sense.
