If WWE wanted to go a slightly personal route for Goldberg's return, they could do worse than to resurrect his (partially real-life) feud with Chris Jericho. The pair clashed back in WCW, where Goldberg reportedly showed very little interest in working with Y2J due to the latter's size and midcard standing. This tension then spilled over when Goldberg came to WWE, and even resulted in a physical backstage altercation between the two which Jericho got the better of, by all accounts. Putting a kayfabe slant on real-life issues is always a risky move, but if there's anyone capable of pulling it off, it's Chris Jericho. He has a history of thinking slightly outside the box, especially when reinventing his heel persona. He's also maybe one of the few men who would be able to drag big Bill to a decent contest between the ropes.
