10 Potential Superstars That Could Succeed Roman Reigns As WWE Champion

4. Daniel Bryan

He wants to wrestle. That's never been the question, but especially now that WWE has reportedly signed the talents of AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, whom Bryan called the greatest wrestler in the world last Summer, his desire to compete has to be stronger than ever. The question has always been whether or not the WWE doctors will clear Bryan to physically compete. Daniel still seems to have hope that he will be cleared (he's been tweeting about it) and a surprise return at the Royal Rumble, to win the WWE Championship, is still a possibility (until WWE says otherwise). At the same time, it would be a huge risk for WWE to put another title around Bryan's waist considering the way his last two championship reigns came to an end. But WWE are in dire need of main event superstars right now, and there's no doubting that Daniel Bryan is exactly that. He could be the next WWE Champion if he can get cleared, and he still seems to be holding out hope and playing it it up on Twitter. Maybe he knows something...
