10 Potential WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Winners

8. Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE has done a pretty shoddy job of booking Shinsuke Nakamura on the main roster so far. The 'King of Strong Style' has been stuck with uninspiring opposition, whether that is 2017 Dolph Ziggler or the 'Modern Dan Maharaja' himself, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. Fans can be forgiven for wondering just what all the pre-debut hype was all about.

Poor booking doesn’t ruin talent however, and Nakamura has plenty of the latter. All it will take is a great match or two to reignite Shinsuke in the eyes of the crowd. He has shown already that he has the star-power and charisma to make it in WWE - the Royal Rumble could well be his crowning night.

It has been whispered that Nakamura is on course to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 34, but it is unlikely that 'The Viper' will win the WWE Championship again any time soon. Shinsuke winning is an outside bet, but as he already has clean wins over Orton and Cena he must be considered a possibility to win the 2018 Royal Rumble.
