10 Potential WWE WrestleMania 31 Opponents For Stone Cold Steve Austin

9. Daniel Bryan

By the time WrestleMania XXXI rolls around, Stone Cold Steve Austin will be 50 years old. Even though he's in fantastic shape -- and he looks the same as he did in 1998 -- the years take a toll on a man's body. Though some grapplers have stepped between the ropes long after their physical primes in the hopes of getting a big payday, Austin's not one of them -- he's always stated that he would never come back for a match that would, athletically, serve as an embarrassment to him or his legacy. That's where Daniel Bryan comes into play. As the most polished wrestler in the entire company (and maybe in the entire world), there's nobody who can work with Austin better than the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion. That's not to say that Austin needs to be carried -- simply that great workers know how to work around limitations, and a 50-year-old man has more than his 30-year-old counterparts. Add in that Austin has professed admiration for Bryan's skills, and a match between the two seems plausible. Bryan is a super-popular babyface, but maybe a surprise return in the Royal Rumble ends in failure, and something in him snaps. Maybe Austin is at the Royal Rumble for some reason and finds himself targeted by the "Yes! Man." Maybe we get a classic encounter in Santa Clara.
