10 Potential WWE WrestleMania 31 Opponents For Stone Cold Steve Austin
5. Brock Lesnar
A long time ago, Steve Austin walked out of WWE -- effectively ending his full-time active career -- after being asked to lose to Brock Lesnar on an edition of Monday Night Raw. Austin was stunned by such a poor booking decision -- as the top dog in the company, it would make sense for him to be Lesnar's last conquest, not his first. In any event, the match never happened. Austin maintained that he never had anything against Lesnar -- just the booking -- and the two became friends. During Lesnar's reign as UFC Heavyweight Champion, Austin would sometimes attend "The Beast Incarnate's" matches -- sometimes even visiting the big man in his locker room prior to a bout. With both men getting along so well, and Lesnar one of WWE's true mainstream stars, a match between the two would be big business, even if it was delayed 13 years. With Lesnar dominating every opponent in WWE, it's time for an old gunslinger to take up his pistols one last time. Austin -- the baddest man in WWE history -- wins the Royal Rumble in a surprise entry, then is determined to show Brock that "he ain't beaten everybody, that's for damn sure." The match at WrestleMania is more two-sided than most of Brock's encounters, but in the end, the F-5 puts Stone Cold down for good. The reign of Lesnar continues.
