10 Powerful Wrestling Promos That Never Uttered A Word

7. Ricochet

It's a segment that involves the Velveteen Dream saying the words "Show me," but it's meant to get Ricochet over and Ricochet was outstanding in it, so one can still extract the old enjoyment.

Ricochet is not great at cutting promos. He is, in fact, rather cringe-worthy. Cast into the mandated goober mould, Ricochet either believes in himself - in a way that doesn't inspire belief in anybody else - or is forced to crack jokes under the idea that every aspiring professional wrestler grew up wanting to be Zack Morris, and not Shawn Michaels.

"Something? More like, the opposite of that thing you just said, or a play on the word!"

"Freeze frame! Now, you're probably wondering how I got here on Main Event.

It is because Vince McMahon is a lunatic."

Ricochet is supernaturally gifted, and WWE should lean on those gifts to build his character and drive his storylines - particularly since he did precisely that in NXT, which is meant to ready its performers for the main roster.

Ahead of TakeOver: Chicago II, Dream challenged Ricochet to show him what the fuss was all about. In a mind-blowing flex of athleticism, Ricochet, selling their match without saying a word, demonstrated the next-level agility Dream could not contain, and we couldn't reconcile - nor get enough of.

Until he went to RAW.
