Contrary to most accounts, your writer would liken the Fatal 4-Way at SummerSlam 2017 to a monster truck rally, not a demolition derby. THIS beauty at Extreme Rules 2017 would have been the demolition derby.

The match as it stands was spectacular, albeit watered down by the stakes. Instead of five of WWE's best destroying each other and the arena around them to determine the next Universal Champion, the match merely determined who got the next opportunity against the champion a month later, as then-champion Brock Lesnar was still in the midst of a three month vacation.

Basic math suggests that if there's one thing that can create a more chaotic atmosphere than five opponents battling over the Universal Championship, it's six. In this alternate WWE Universe, Kevin Owens enters the mix as the reigning Universal Champion and in the immortal words of Drowning Pool, let the bodies hit the floor. Since this was Extreme Rules, this contest could work as either an elimination-style Six-Pack Challenge or, as a response to SmackDown's February PPV, inside the Elimination Chamber. How often can we honestly make a case for any one of six participants in a match leaving as champion?
