10 Precise WWE Moments Wrestlers Retired Iconic Moves
8. Seth Rollins - The Curb Stomp
Last seen: vs. Randy Orton - Raw April 2015
A technicality this one as he brought it back a few years ago - busting it out in a shocking moment against Finn Bálor - but the retirement of Seth Rollins' original finisher was a major headline grabber in the wrestling world.
Originally the "Blackout" from his time as Tyler Black, the move successfully survived the transition to WWE, and even saw him win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania after cashing in his Money In The Back. However, not long after, comparisons began to be drawn to real life curb stomping, and the implications they had on a racial level.
WWE didn't like this sort of press, so had him drop the move entirely.
In the time between that and it returning, Seth experimented with the Pedigree and a frankly dreadful ripcord knee, but Randy Orton was the last recipient of the move in its original guise, getting attacked by Rollins immediately after becoming the number 1 contender in 2015.
