10 Predictions For WWE In 2020

2. The WWE Network Will Be Even More Successful

Despite a rocky start, the Network has surpassed 1,000,000 subscribers, and that figure is still increasing, especially considering that WWE keeps adding more and more content onto it.

At the same time, the content is centered more on Network specials and non-wrestling-related shows, instead of historical moments in WWE and previous episodes of RAW and SmackDown. This is a problem because it prevents WWE from tapping into that enormous market of nostalgic fans who want to re-watch old episodes of RAW and SmackDown without having to find them elsewhere.

To deal with this issue, by 2020, the Network will be one of the most comprehensive media libraries available. Once WWE sees sustained growth in the Network, they’ll begin adding more of that much-desired content. It’s likely that the reason that they’re not adding all of those historic RAWs and SmackDowns right now is because they want to make sure that fans stay loyal to the Network.

The promise of adding more stuff over time is one of the best ways to guarantee long-term subscriber loyalty, instead of giving them every single thing at once, and then having the subscriber watch everything and be done with it. By giving the WWE Universe a reason to want more, WWE will have sustained long-term popularity in their Network, and by 2020, it'll be one of WWE's biggest successes ever.
