10 Predictions For WWE In 2020
1. Uhaa Nation Will Become WWE's First Black WWE Champion
Sesugh Uhaa stands 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs 260 pounds (120kg). He has made a career in Dragon Gate, a promotion centered almost exclusively on lucha libre and high-flying wrestling. His finisher in DGUSA, the Uhaa Combination, is a Military Press, followed by a standing Moonsault, followed by a standing Shooting Star Press. He's a truly phenomenal athlete.
Uhaa signed with WWE in October 2014, and made his first NXT appearance in April 2015. The man is everything that Vince, and HHH for that matter, would want in a big star: incredibly muscular, athletic, technically sound, has perfect timing in the ring, and versatile, capable of performing aerial moves and power moves.
For these reasons, Uhaa would make the perfect WWE Champion.
One one hand, Uhaa becoming WWE Champion would be more about his incredible skill and abilities than for his skin color, as he is an extremely impressive wrestler. That said, there is still something of a negative perception around WWE for having only one black Champion in the Rock in the company's storied history.
By 2020, this issue will have been rectified, as Uhaa Nation, with his impressive abilities and physique, will have broken that barrier and become WWE’s first Black WWE Champion. If presented properly, that victory would lead to a surge in interest for the company, and could potentially usher in a new era of popularity for the WWE.
