10 Predictions For WWE Women's Wrestling In 2017

6. Emmalina Becomes A Star

The wait for Emmalina’s grand debut continues. WWE failed to deliver on their promised date of December 12th, and there was no sign of her the following week either. Emmalina’s makeover vignettes have now been airing for the best part of three months, and it’s anyone’s guess when she’ll actually show up at this point.

When she does return to action, however, Emmalina is going to be a huge star. Raw’s women’s division is thin on talent beneath the title scene, and Emma is already one of the best technicians on the company’s books. She might just be the most underrated woman in the company, and if they get her character right, there’s no reason why Emmalina can’t be a championship-calibre wrestler on Raw.

Her injury came at the worst possible moment. Emma was just starting to gain traction as a heel following her second stint in NXT, and looked set to play an important role in the division before disaster struck. The fact that WWE keep pushing these vignettes every single week suggest Emmalina will continue on a similar path when she returns, and there’s a strong chance she finishes the year with at least one title reign to her name.
