4. Asuka Joins The Big Time

Asuka has done a tremendous job of keeping the NXT women’s division together in recent months, but with Ember Moon & co. rising around her, there won’t be much reason to keep her around much longer. Someone’s going to need to take the NXT Women’s Championship away from her, but Asuka is main roster-bound sooner or later, and her call-up will almost certainly happen in 2017.

Wherever she lands, Asuka will be a tremendous acquisition. She’s already one of the company’s best wrestlers, and Bayley is the only prominent main roster worker she has spent time significant working with. This leaves potentially mouth-watering matches with Becky Lynch, Charlotte, and a host of others on the table, and she could debut as an immediate title contender.

Asuka’s fearsome aura gives her an X factor that WWE’s other women just don’t possess. She hasn’t lost a single NXT match since she arrived at Full Sail University, and WWE can easily replicate this success on the main roster. Asuka might not be as well-known as Raw & SmackDown’s biggest stars, but fans can expect her to make a huge impact on the main roster post-WrestleMania.
