The best part of the Royal Rumble is the big surprise entrants. Chris Jericho stole the show a few years ago when he showed up as #2 and Mr. Perfect reinvigorated his career on the back of what was supposed to be a one-shot nostalgia appearance. There have been a plethora of memorable Royal Rumble surprises, but none with the kind of impact that Sting would have. Having Sting in the Royal Rumble could accomplish multiple things. Firstly, Stings gone on record saying he wants to wrestle in a WWE ring before he retires, so this would be great way for him to accomplish this goal without committing to a feud or a big profile match if he didnt feel up to it. If he did feel up to it however, the Royal Rumble is the best pace for feuds to start. Whether Sting eliminates someone, or someone eliminates Sting, youve got the spark for a feud leading into WrestleMania right there with enough time to blow it off should Sting or WWE change their mind or should something better come along.
