10 Pro Wrestlers Who Could Have Been Stars In The UFC

7. Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle Intercontinental Champion
WWE

As one of the greatest amateur wrestlers of his generation, Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle would have likely been a dominant force in the UFC, had he chosen the Octagon over the squared circle in the late-'90s. His grappling alone would have been enough to negate any potential deficiencies in his stand up game —particularly during that period.

As was stated in the Shorty G entry, Olympic wrestlers have had a ton of success in the UFC. Of course, Angle also has a lot of charisma and could cut an excellent promo, which would have made him a highly marketable fighter in addition to being a world-class athlete.

Barring some sort of injury, it's hard to imagine a scenario in which Angle wouldn't have been an MMA megastar, had he decided to go that route.
