Fightful Select has been trying to get to the bottom of LA Knight's whereabouts and why he hasn't been featured on recent episodes of Raw. The website asked WWE sources for info on the popular babyface, his abandoned (planned) feud with Gunther and more.

According to those in the know, Knight doesn't have heat with anyone backstage. In fact, they called his vanishing act a "non-story" - it isn't something WWE sources believe fans have to worry about, but it's clear that LA's momentum has been stalling for a while now. His biggest fans are concerned that he'll never become a sustainable headliner in the promotion.

Gunther was moved sideways to SmackDown, but creatively rocketed up the pecking order towards a rivalry with reigning WWE Champ and top star Cody Rhodes. That put his beef with Knight on ice, and it means the slick-talking face has nothing much to do on television right now.

Fightful reports that his disappearance "wasn't as result of an injury or pay dispute, or anything related to recent releases or pay cuts". That's interesting, and it does seem like LA's spot on the roster long-term is safe, but there just aren't any booking plans for him locked in at the moment.

The site is still pressing for further information, but did get word that "creative quickly changed after WrestleMania for a number of wrestlers". It appears Triple H knew he had to shake things up, but that hasn't done much for Knight's TV time since WrestleMania 42.

His wait rolls on.
