10 Pro Wrestlers Who Could Have Been Stars In The UFC

In 2017, Shadia Bseiso made history by becoming the first Middle Eastern-born woman to sign a contract with WWE. However, she never really got going in NXT. In fact, the Jordanian never officially wrestled for the promotion, prior to her release last April.

Outside of pro wrestling, the 33-year-old is a very accomplished Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who picked up a silver medal at Abu Dhabi World Pro Championship back in 2014.

There aren't a ton of great grapplers in the UFC women's featherweight division, which is where she would likely compete. In truth, it's easily the promotion's most shallow division, so even at 33, given her combat sports background, Bseiso could still have an impact.

Moreover, the UFC is always looking to tap into new markets and having a successful fighter from the Middle East would be helpful in that regard. If she enjoyed even modest success inside the Octagon, the UFC (or even Bellator) would likely get behind her in a big way.
