MJF Brutally Buries "WWE Mark" Aleister Black (AEW News)

Aleister/Malakai Black was only using AEW as a stepping stone to his WrestleMania moment, says MJF.

MJF didn't exactly have glowing praise for the former AEW peer Aleister/Malakai Black during an appearance on Ariel Helwani's show recently. In fact, according to Friedman, Black was only using Tony Khan's outfit as a stepping stone back to WWE (between 2021-2025) so he could have his "Mania moment".

Continuing, the ever outspoken All Elite star described Aleister as a "mark" but said he wasn't speaking out of school. Instead, MJF wanted to speak as "a team captain" giving the general thoughts of the AEW locker room towards Black - he wasn't the only one to come under fire for similar things, but Black was the only one Friedman mentioned by name,

The Wrestling Observer has broached rumours that Aleister/Malakai didn't want to do select jobs during his time in the company, but they've never been shown as outright fact. However, the company has distanced itself from reports that Black was set to re-sign imminently following his surprise departure from WWE in late-April.

Both Black and his wife Zelina Vega are available to work elsewhere, but it remains to be seen exactly where they'll end up.

Addressing the rumours that the then-Malakai was difficult to deal with, MJF admitted that he didn't really know the guy personally but said: "I don’t want to deal with guys that don’t want to be team players". That'll add fuel to the fire on that particular 'no jobs' subject.

Friedman believes that some workers like Black found out that the grass isn't always greener on the other side, and he didn't like their: "I’m just going to use All Elite Wrestling to go back to WWE" attitude.
