10 Problems Stone Cold Will Never Admit About WrestleMania 32 Return

10. Health Factors

When Steve Austin stepped away from the squared circle, he did so after years of bumping took their toll on his knees, back and neck. No longer able to physically withstand the toll the mat game had taken on him, Austin retired rather than risk leaving fans with lackluster performances. For Austin to even consider a match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32, he must understand what said match entails. Lesnar is a beast of a competitor who tosses his opponents around the squared circle with ease and reckless abandon. CM Punk, John Cena, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have been part of classic matches with the Beast Incarnate over the last few years and in every instance, they have been suplexed senseless by the former NCAA and UFC champion. At age 50, Austin is not at a place in his health where he can withstand the sheer number of suplexes that a Lesnar match entails. Sure, he can convince Lesnar to work his style of match but we have seen in the past, particularly in the Triple H series, that fist fights involving Lesnar typically do not turn out as well as those in which he is allowed to bet he wrecking ball that he is naturally. To be the classic that the match should be, it needs to play to both men's strengths. Before signing on the dotted line, Austin would have to be absolutely sure that he can withstand the punishment his body would be guaranteed to endure.
