10 Problems Stone Cold Will Never Admit About WrestleMania 32 Return
9. Financials
Steve Austin is one of the biggest stars the world of professional wrestling has ever seen. The face of the Attitude Era, he carried WWE for the better part of five years, selling out arenas across the country and driving merchandise sales to unprecedented heights. He is also one of the highest paid stars Vince McMahon ever promoted and as such, he would almost certainly be expecting a huge payday to lace up the boots and wrestle one more match. With so much invested in the WWE Network and its continued growth, it remains to be seen if McMahon would be willing to shill out the money necessary to make the Austin-Lesnar match a reality. Would the contest break records and be the most profitable of all-time? The likelihood is high but is McMahon prepared to make such a financial investment without absolutely knowing? Probably. After all, McMahon has repeatedly demonstrated his belief in the old adage, "you have to spend money to make money" so it is likely he will see dollar signs and throw his dollars at Austin to chase after them. The moment things would appear to be going sideways, though, it would be no great surprise if money becomes an issue and the anticipated bout becomes another pipe dream.
