10 Problems Only Wrestling Fans Would Understand

7. Time

One of the biggest issues with being a wrestling fan is that we simply struggle to make time to follow WWE's weekly output. The main show, Monday Night Raw, is three hours in itself. That's a hell of a long time to be sat watching a TV show, particularly with all the necessities and distractions of modern life. But that's just the start of it, WWE's other main weekly television show is Smackdown, which takes your weekly couch time up to five hours. Once a month you also have the 'must see' WWE pay per view, which means that some weeks we are sat having to watch eight hours of WWE television - and we haven't even mentioned the multitude of shows on WWE Network! It's definitely a case of quantity over quality. It kind of takes away some of the fun being a wrestling fan. If you want to see ten minutes of great in-ring action you need to sit through fifty minutes of hapless filler. Sadly it looks like this problem won't be going away. WWE is a valuable commodity, a three hour run time means more opportunities to sell commercial space. This means as fans we need to each week find ways to placate the wife, get the kids to bed, have the dinner cooked, all the things we need to juggle to ensure we find 3 hours of time to watch our wrestling passion.
