10 Problems WWE Must Solve In The 2023 Draft

8. Announcing Wrestlers Are Staying Put

WWE Draft 2023 Roman Reigns Triple H Vince McMahon Raw SmackDown
WWE

The very first name out of the hat for the 2021 Draft was Roman Reigns. WWE proudly announced that the SmackDown star was heading to...SmackDown. Yes, they burned the entire idea of a roster shakeup with the very first announcement. What was all that about?!

You'd think the promotion would fancy making the Draft look meaningful by pointing to a major brand jump straight away, but no. SmackDown picked Reigns. This was a complete and utter waste of TV time, because it told fans nothing new. Realistically, WWE shouldn't announce picks unless someone is switching shows.

That's just common sense, to be brutally honest.

Fans will sh*t all over the 2023 Draft if WWE announces that Raw's Seth Rollins is sticking around on Raw, or that FOX pulled some strings to keep Roman Reigns around on SmackDown again. That's far too flat and uninspiring for something that's supposed to change WWE's landscape completely.
