Cameron Grimes might stand by the doors on Raw or SmackDown with a sign that reads: 'Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here'. Things haven't worked out well for the ex-NXT favourite on WWE's main roster, but he's far from the only call-up to experience endless days skulking around catering wondering what happened.

Some NXT promotions have been incredible, and there's every chance a guy like Bron Breakker will go on to become a World Champ someday. Those expected to be included in the Draft, like Ilja Dragunov, Carmelo Hayes and Roxanne Perez, must be wary of everything going south.

Nothing is guaranteed.

Blame for this is shared; wrestlers have to shoulder some of it, but WWE is in charge of plotting a correct course for workers fleeing that cosy embrace from Shawn Michaels. Leaving it up to fate with Ilja, Melo and Perez would be poor from Triple H. He has to thrash out their immediate futures now to give everyone a puncher's chance.
