2. The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels and The Rock are two of the best performers in pro wrestling folklore, leaving fans with so many unbelievable memories. Both have had some of the better remembered matches at Wrestlemania down throughout the years, including The Rock's many battles with Steve Austin, and HBK's aforementioned encounter with Bret Hart, not to mention his back-to-back wars with The Undertaker just a few short years ago. The mere idea of the pair locking horns would have even the most jaded of fans champing at the bit to throw down their money, sit back, relax, and watch greatness unfold. Obviously, the chances of it happening now are slim to none, which only makes it all the more baffling that it didn't happen when both were in their respective primes. According to Michaels, he was approached with the idea of the match on a few occasions, and was eager to do it, but The Rock wasn't too hot on the idea. Supposed heat, stemming from years ago, is often cited as the reason why Rocky would turn down such a license to print money. Apparently, The Rock was none too pleased with how Shawn conducted himself in front of his grandmother at a benefit show years prior, and was never interested in doing business with The Heartbreak Kid.
