10 Pushes That WWE Ruined In 2022

4. Matt Riddle

It's worth noting that Matt Riddle's ongoing personal problems are hardly WWE's fault. That's his private life away from the ring, and something he needs to address himself. However, Riddle's on-air character had suffered a nasty slide over the past few months before his recent sabbatical.

Matches vs. Roman Reigns and an epic feud vs. Seth Rollins could be considered highlights of his year. So, mind you, could some stunning tag bouts alongside RK-Bro partner Randy Orton. Since Randy's injury though, Matt has experienced a slow death creatively, and it's been rather awkward to witness considering some of his great work.

The 'Fight Pit' scrap with Rollins at Extreme Rules disappointed some, but it still should've been a win that pushed Riddle further towards the top of the cards. Instead, WWE stuck him in a going-nowhere team with a reborn Elias, and doubled down on the sillier aspects of his character when they had to go all in on the serious ones.

Let's see how this one pans out when Riddle returns.
