10 Questions Steve Austin Must Ask Stephanie McMahon On WWE Network Podcast
5. Growing Up In The Business
A lot of kids who go up in the wrestling business turn out a little screwed up when they're older (see: The Von Erichs). Growing up in such a large-than-life business is bound to alter your perception of reality. Couple that with the drug use and other evils of the industry and it's easy to see how it could corrupt an impressionable mind. How did Stephanie find growing up in the business. It must have been weird having a family cook out with Mr. T, Hulk Hogan and The Iron Sheik hanging about. Steph must have some crazy stories from her childhood, even though she admits that Vince tried to keep her away from the business when she was young because he didn't trust the wrestlers. Stephanie was only 22 when she debuted on WWF television, far younger than most on-camera performers. Did she think you got into the business too young? Was the business pushed on her when she was growing up or did Vince want her to do her own thing? Not much is known about Stephanie's childhood and she pretty much joined the WWF full-time after graduating from Boston University. There must be some gold waiting to be discovered there somewhere.
