10 Questions With ROH’s Brutal Bob Evans

4. Thoughts On Briscoe vs. Lethal

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUn9GUxrJjc Jay Briscoe vs. Jay Lethal will headline Ring of Honor€™s €˜Best in the World€™ pay-per-view this Friday night in what€™s being billed as the biggest match in ROH history. With all the historical matches that ROH has had, can they live up to the hype? BBE: I€™ve actually pulled both guys aside and told them there are people who don€™t think you€™re going to have the match that Ring Of Honor is promising. I think both guys are looking at it as a challenge to really step up their game and compete at that kind of level where they€™re going to have that type of match. I think that the people that are expecting a fantastic match are going to get one and I think the people who are expecting to be disappointed will not be. I think it€™s going to exceed their expectations. I think it€™s going to be a great match! I€™ve known Jay Briscoe since he was 16 years old and has grown leaps and bounds to where he is almost an elder statesmen. He€™s a father, he€™s a husband, he€™s a god-fearing man, and he€™s also a controversial guy with some of the stuff he€™s said on twitter. Jay has had some adversity in his Ring of Honor career and now he€™s had over two years of being undefeated. Then you have Jay Lethal who has been one of the top two or three best wrestlers in the world over the last six months. Also, Lethal has been so proud of the TV title, who knows if he€™ll give up the title if he beats Briscoe for the world title, if one belt has to be vacated.
