10 Quick Fixes For WWE In 2018

9. Can The False Family & Focus On Kurt Angle Nostalgia

Hands up who wanted to see Kurt Angle awkwardly pretend a rookie star was his son for much of 2017, instead of pull on the star-spangled tights and actually wrestle. Yes, we have seen Kurt work matches towards the end of this year - but he was reduced to playing cheerleader for Jason Jordan in months beforehand.

The storyline isn't working, and Angle isn't the only one the tale has negatively impacted. Jordan looks like he'll have to turn heel soon, because WWE's force-fed father/son relationship has caused fans to view him as a lame duck babyface. Even then, there's hardly a clamour to see Jordan vs. Angle in a featured spot on pay-per-view.

A much more satisfying outcome would be quietly ditching the failed story and giving long time fans what they want from Kurt Angle during WrestleMania season. Namely, put him against either a nostalgic foe or vibrant workhorse (Seth Rollins and AJ Styles being great examples) and watch him tear the house down.
