10 Quick Fixes For WWE’s Struggling Superstars

9. Sasha Banks & Bayley - A Vicious Heel Beatdown

Monday Night Raw provides weekly heartbreak to those that invested so deeply in the gripping rivalry between Sasha Banks and Bayley in NXT between 2014 and 2015.

'The Boss' alluded to those simpler times during her tepid impersonation of 'The Hugger' during their Counselling segment with the once-enjoyable Dr. Shelby. With bug eyes and a mock-discerning grin, Banks incinerated the innocent superfan Bayley once so believably portrayed, harking back to the contempt she held for her when the two were once evocatively linked. That cheap backstage set couldn't have been further away from Brooklyn's Barclays Center - the home of their greatest battle and inarguably the most important Women's match in WWE history.

If this seems lacking in analysis on their present day stop/start rivalry, it's because their history is all they have. The programme is sorely, sorely lacking an attack by Banks that mirrors the one the company ostensibly attempted to turn Bayley heel with before they were sent off to make friends. On that night she was cheered by an audience still desperate to love her - those same supporters are equally keen to loathe the dynamite heel Banks played as her perfect contrast.
