8. Surprise Draft Picks
Arguably the most brutal disappointment of the whole draft was the lack of surprise entrants, after rumours had spread in the weeks leading up to it that WWE were talking to the likes of Jeff Hardy, MVP, Kurt Angle, Goldberg and many, many more about returning for another run.
Instead, not a single draft pick was remotely shocking, further exemplifying how thoroughly underwhelming the whole thing felt. Did WWE just fail to work out deals with these guys and decide to give up on anyone else, or was it merely Internet bunk that amounted to nothing?
Either way, it would've been nice to see some legends enjoy a renewed tenure to help pad out the numbers for each respective brand, and would've added a lot of unpredictability and excitement to the night.
