10 Quickest WWE Money In The Bank Cash-Ins
2. Dean Ambrose (2016) – 56 Minutes
At this point, we have to break out the stopwatch to determine the exact times for the top two. And while it’s fairly close, the winner was clear. But first, the runner-up…
2016’s Money in the Bank PPV was notable for being the night when all three former members of the Shield held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Roman Reigns walked into MITB as the champ, but he lost the strap to a returning Seth Rollins, who reclaimed the title he never lost, but had to vacate the previous fall due to injury.
Cue Dean Ambrose.
The Lunatic Fringe had won the briefcase earlier in the show, and he wasted no time in sneaking up behind a victorious Rollins and blasting him. One Dirty Deeds DDT later, and Ambrose was the one leaving the PPV with the title.
Ambrose would have the title when he was drafted to SmackDown as part of the new brand split, but he would lose it to AJ Styles that fall.
