10 Rare Brock Lesnar WWE Dark Matches You Need To See

4. Brock Lesnar Vs. Mr. Perfect

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwuLB4419Og This one is short but sweet and actually had a bit of history behind it. Curt Hennig and Brock Lesnar, both native Minnesotans, were friends outside the ring and used to train and hunt together. When Hennig returned to the WWF under his old Mr. Perfect at Royal Rumble 2002 the WWF offered him a contract and he was soon being used to help up-and-comers like his pal Lesnar. The match, taking place on January 28th, 2002 (just eight days after Perfect's return) is nothing special in the ring but does show Hennig lighting up Lesnar with chops and generally schooling him and leading him around the ring. Because there is no commentary and the ring is heavily mic'd you can hear Lesnar call 'kick me' at one point. The real story between Lesnar and Hennig developed months later during infamous Plane Ride From Hell on May 5th. Part of the anarchy of that flight saw a drunk Hennig challenge Lesnar to an amateur wrestling match right there on the plane. After successful goading Lesnar, Hennig was taken down as the two rolled dangerously close to the airplane door. It took several wrestlers to separate the two. Hennig was released shortly after and claimed in promos for the recently debuted TNA that he was the guy that took down Brock Lesnar at 35,000ft although many dispute this claim.
