10 Real-Life Dramas That Made It To Wrestling TV

8. Taking A Shot At Scott

It's said that the wrestling industry is cyclical, with periods of feast and famine somehow controlled by outside forces rather than creative or commercially poor decisions causing the peaks and valleys.

However, for the longest period, most in and out of wrestling assumed Scott Hall was in a valley he was never destined to climb out of.

Seemingly defeated by a litany of drug and alcohol addictions, Hall was endlessly supported by many, but his problems only ever seemed to escalate. On some occasions, they reared their head on television. Or didn't, as it were.

Booked to wrestle in the main event of TNA's 2007 'Turning Point' pay-per-view, Hall's 'demons' lead to a no-show, triggering an unscripted rant from tag team partner Samoa Joe which became a major talking point the next day.

That next day happened to be a Monday that featured a Raw segment in which Mr Kennedy brought out a host of mocking caricature from Shawn Michaels' past as a way to antagonise 'HBK' in their ongoing feud.

Mocking the 'Razor Ramon' impersonators, Kennedy dismissed the 'Bad Guy' persona then wedged in a sarcastic 'hey, thanks for coming by the way' line before moving on.

The barb was in direct reference to Hall's tragic indiscretions, and not lost on the crowd nor peers of the troubled former Intercontinental Champion.
