March 26th, 2001, the date of the very last ever broadcast of World Championship Wrestling's flagship show, Monday Nitro. Dubbed the 'Night Of Champions', this one last hurrah for the original WCW roster was shrouded in uncertainty for many behind the scenes. Incredibly, there was still hope that someone like Eric Bischoff, a fresh investor, or absolutely anybody apart from Vince McMahon would swoop in and magically take the promotion back to the top of the mountain.
