10 Realistic Storylines That Would Be Perfect For Today's WWE

10. Cody Rhodes Wanting To Live Up To His Father's Legacy

There€™s nothing more realistic and relatable than a child wanting to please their parents. It strikes a chord for many of us when we strive to prove to other what we€™re made of, and seeing someone make their parents proud can produce genuinely emotional moments. In Cody€™s case, now is the best time for him to drop the Stardust gimmick permanently and begin striving to reach the main event picture. There€™s no reason for fans to care about the Stardust gimmick. It€™s one of the least-enthralling gimmicks seen today, and its existence has already been made obsolete when Cody appeared at NXT TakeOver: Respect to crown the winners of his father€™s memorial tournament. Going forward, Cody should be presented as a skilled superstar with considerable knowledge of wrestling given his family background. Rhodes would dedicate this chapter of his career to his father, and would proceed to go on a long winning streak. With each victory, he would get closer to proving himself worthy of the Rhodes name, and what it meant to grow up as the son of the American Dream. If done properly, seeing Rhodes in the main event of a marquee show challenging for the WWEWHC would be the perfect way for him to pay tribute to his father, and for the fans to have a genuine feel-good moment to enjoy.
