The number one entrant on this list needs little explanation. When youre talking about performers who bring a level of realism and believability to their role, logically the easiest choice is the man who comes from a real wrestling background, and in between stints in the fictionalized world of sports entertainment went and won the UFC heavyweight championship. During his original run with WWE back in the early 2000s, Brock Lesnar was a young genetic freak capable of putting on some impressive matches, but upon his return in 2012 he modified his style to incorporate more of his MMA background, utilizing an even more grounded and realistic style for his clashes with the like of John Cena, Triple H and CM Punk. When the Extreme Rules 2012 match with John Cena began with the WWE poster boy being opened up hardway via a stiff elbow to the face, we knew we were in for something different than the overly-choreographed finisher fests that WWEs become accustomed to. Its easy to get lost in the moment during Lesnars matches because it appears that he does as well, and sells his willingness to obliterate his opponent so well.
