10 Reason WWE Reality Era Is Already Faltering

6. Pushing The Wrong Divas

As entertaining as the show Total Divas is (sometimes much more so than Monday Night RAW), it has unquestionably lead to some negatives within the WWE product. Most notably, this has lead to many girls that are in over their heads (still learning the business) receiving undeserved, premature pushes on television. There are a couple of girls featured on the show who have paid their dues and definitely deserve the spotlight, but there are many more who are still learning the business and shouldn't be anywhere near a live Monday Night RAW broadcast. What we are left with is girls who actually wrestle quite well being pushed to the side and out of the spotlight to make way for the Total Divas, who add little to no value to the RAW and SmackDown broadcasts as far as wrestling quality goes. Frankly, you could even add Natalya to the list of girls pushed to the side by the Total Divas. Her role on the show seems to be nothing more than getting made fun of every week or being put into awkward situations. The show certainly has not resulted in any kind of increased push for her within WWE. Many of the Total Divas, hired because they were models, are a dime a dozen compared to someone like Tamina Snuka who really understand the wrestling business. One exception to this rule is Paige, who was recently brought up from NXT and put in position immediately as Divas Champion despite not being featured on the Total Divas television series. This should tell you all you need to know about the WWE's own belief on the ability of the majority of the Total Divas to carry the company's primary women's championship belt. They just aren't ready for any kind of spotlight outside of reality television.
